E-bike service

Why regular e-bike servicing matters

How often your e-bike needs a service depends on how much you ride it. If you ride every day or in tough conditions, such as in winter, we recommend a service every six months. If you ride less often, once a year is enough. Regular servicing makes sure key components – such as brakes, chain and battery – always work as they should. A well-maintained e-bike performs better, is safer to ride and lasts longer.

What's included in an e-bike service?

Mechanical maintenance. Cleaning and lubricating the chain, plus checking and adjusting brakes and gears.
Electrical system service. A thorough check of the battery, motor and electronics. Workshops look over the battery's health, charging capacity and wiring.

Tips for keeping your e-bike in top shape

Battery care. The battery is the heart of your e-bike. To extend its life, avoid letting it run completely flat. Charge it regularly, store it somewhere cool and keep it at an optimal charge level.
Chain and tyres. Just like on a regular bike, it's important to keep the chain clean and well lubricated. The right tyre pressure reduces the risk of punctures and improves the ride. Consider switching to studded tyres in winter for better grip.
Storage. Keep your e-bike under cover and protect it from extreme weather. This reduces wear on both mechanical and electronic components.
